Hi Chuck, this is Corby Sable, your ole track mate with coach Dick Mann. Happy almost Birthday to you. I can hear Dick Mann yelling, c'mon Bartlett - encouraging you on!!!
Hope things are going well in Seattle. I'vecekndered what happrned to you after Heights? We're having a lot of rain ere in Cleveland Heights just as you get there.
I want to inform you of a huge class get together/reunion this September 5, 2025. Expected are classes from the 1960s through the 1990s. Mike O'leary (class of 1974) and Russ Dise are helping to organize it. That's a lot memories running on one day, and maybe even an 880 run.
Here's the website to check it out:

Did you run track in college? Where did you attend? I went to Kent State hoping to make it as punter, but a punter was already signed on scholarship, so my chances were not that good. I tried out for receiver while on the JV. I could fake and out run the varsity defensive backs, but the varsity coach didn't like that. Since he picked them, and I bruised his ego. The JV coach said I should have been practicing with the varsity, but I got injured by Jack Lambert running into me while punting. The whistle blew to halt play, but lambert didn't stop. While my leg was fully extended during my punt, by lambert's hit, I did a somersault in the air, and landed on my knee, which ended my punting aspirations at Kent.
I clearly beat out the other punter, but college politics won out. I'm so glad I tried to make it as punter and reciever. I did get 3 college offers to play football but none had electronic engineering, except Notre Dame who scouted me for punter at Heights, but my average dropped, because Wilson head coach routinely punted from their 30-40 yard line when our offense stalled - so down went my average and away went Notre Dame.
I know it's a long trip from Seattle to Aurora, Ohio, but I hope anyway you can make it. I'd love to see you again. I'm sure you will know many who are attending. I sent an invite to Tony Zuck - our first leg of the mile relay. He hasn't responded yet.
Chuck, let me know you got this message, and if you consider to come to the party.
I wish you well, take care, and be safe.
Your ole running mate,
Corby Sable

Dean, this is Corby Sable, remember me taking snaps from you as centerat Heights! You were very gutsy to block anyone coming through to getvthe ball from me. The last I know you were lawyering? What's new? I hope all is going well! I was trying elsewhere to make contact with you, and found you here. I'm back living in my Cleveland Heights home after 4 years in Philly. Comcast made me an offer I couldn't refuse, but they were bought out, and I had to return home. It was a great experience while the ride lasted. Here's something not nany know Myself and another created something called "Wireless Office". You know this today as "WIFI". I guess we weren't savy enough after the buyout to put it on the market ourselves. Oh well! There is an upcoming Heights Frats and Jocks Party on September 5, 2025. Check out the website, www.BratsandJocksParty.fun Sign the guest register if you plan on attending. Expected grads from the 60s to the 90s are supposed to attend. The first party was in 2022, over 200 who attended. What's new goin on now? I hope you are well. Do you still live in Cleveland Heights? I hope you will attend. I would love to see you there.
