I knew Rita in back in junior high and high school and was friendly with her. She attended Cuyahoga Community College and became a nurse. She moved to Los Angeles in 1977 and in 1983 she married and had a family. She passed away February 26, 1993 of breast cancer. At that time, I did not know of any of her where abouts. Fast forward to 1997, when my family moved to "The (San Fernando) Valley" section of Los Angeles, and we all quickly became friends with her children, their father and his new wife. So, in this extremely small world we live in, and after several years of being friends with her family and both our daughters being close friends, I surprisingly learned that Rita was the mother of these 2 young children; Sharona and David. Rita’s children resemble her and are amazing people! They are both married, and if Rita, (of blessed memory) was still alive, she would be the Safta (grandmother) of 3 beautiful grandchildren. We all know she is looking down at her children from above and we all miss her! May she rest in peace. Sharona is now 28 and David is 27.
